Officially recognized Mui Ne as a national tourist area

The location, scale and boundaries of Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Binh Thuan Province are specified in Clause 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 1772/QD-TTg dated December 18, 2018 of the Prime Minister approving the master plan. overall development of Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Binh Thuan province by 2025, vision to 2030.

 

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province was assigned to report to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the General Department of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in organizing the announcement of the Decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized Mui Ne National Tourist Area, Binh Thuan Province to promote its image, promote investment, and attract tourists.

 

Previously, on December 18, 2018, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on behalf of the Prime Minister signed Decision 1772/QD-TTg, approving the master plan for development of the national tourist area (national tourist area) Mui Ne to 2025, vision to 2030.

 

Accordingly, the National Park is located on a coastal strip of land from Hoa Phu commune, Tuy Phong to the end of the boundary of Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan with an area of 14,760 hectares. In which, the core area is focused on developing and forming tourist functional areas of about 1,000 ha.

With the view of developing Mui Ne National Park in the direction of green growth, protecting the ecological environment, especially landscapes of Bau Trang, Bau Sen and coastal sand dunes.

 

Focusing on developing tourism in depth, focusing on quality and efficiency, diversifying products on the basis of exploiting and promoting the advantages of marine tourism resources by exploiting the value of relics, culture and tourism. culture of the Cham people, the unique landscape values of sand dunes create a breakthrough to turn Mui Ne National Park into a high-quality resort tourism center.

 

To develop and connect in the coastal tourism areas of South Central and Southeast; mobilize large-scale strategic domestic and foreign resources, encourage community-based tourism, and create sustainable livelihoods for people. Striving to 2030 Mui Ne National Park becomes one of the leading destinations of the Asia-Pacific region.

 

The goal is that by 2025, the total revenue from tourists will reach about 24,000 billion VND and in 2030 reach 50,000 billion VND with the demand for accommodation rooms by 2025 more than 21,000 rooms and by 2030 more than 41,000 rooms. It will also create direct jobs for more than 45,000 people by 2030.

Especially forming four main tourist subdivisions of Mui Ne National Park from the coastal areas of Hoa Thang and Tuy Phong back in, in which focus on zoning strict protection of scenic spots, orientation to exploit the value of landscapes with environmental protection. Linking and organizing activities to promote the tourism triangle "Binh Thuan - Lam Dong - Ho Chi Minh City" with the product chain "Phan Thiet Beach - Lam Dong Flower - Saigon Market".

 

In addition, the Prime Minister's decision also requires the development of service, commercial and culinary systems. Focus on developing Hon Rom Amusement Park and amusement parks on beaches and sand dunes. Cooperate with airlines to open direct international routes to the key market of Mui Ne National Park; upgrade Phan Thiet port to welcome international passengers and open more routes to the sea and public beaches.
